Opinions of young celebrities are more attentively heard, even believed, by the younger people than by the older people, who often have their own role models apart. On occasions, it is amusing for the general public to listen to what famous stars have to say, but what is said could sometimes turn out to be particularly not in favor of the more naive people. Too often, opinions from celebrities could be harmful to young people’s mental and financial health, to say the least. Unlike the older people, the younger people admire and want to imitate ‘notorious’ celebrities whose remarks, however out of the common, are readily taken for granted. This could affect them negatively due to their lack of mental maturity to follow bad rather than good examples. Apparently, it is not only the words but also the deeds of those ‘role models’ that are not doing any good for the mentality of the younger people. Today, television and the Internet have generated tremendous exposure for a number of elite stars who stand for partying, drug abuse, drunk driving, rapid marriage and rapid divorce, and on and on. Most teenagers and young adults, who tend to attach importance to celebrities’ opinions, actually become other people since their thoughts are celebrities’ thoughts spoken in the spotlight. Fortunately, it seems that the older people are easily getting tired of celebrity overload and do not pay so much attention to scandals. Young celebrities’ opinions could become a persuasion in advertising, thereby affecting young consumers’ pockets. Very famous personalities in the fields of pop music, cinema and sports, are being hired to give positive comments about products and services that have little or nothing to do with their professions. Nowadays, companies all over the world are using celebrities to orally promote sales of anything from fast food to young fashion to fancy car. Under the influence of what is called ‘celebrity testimonials’, the younger population, rather than the older population, are encouraged to buy things they really do not need and spend money they actually do not have. That is, a celebrity works as a convincing sales-speaker through the image of strong role model among the younger generation. Usually, the older generation would not entirely trust products and services endorsed by celebrities. To do justice to all shining stars in the galaxy of fame, probably they have the freedom to voice their opinions of whatever kind, so it is up to people both young and old to evaluate what is said and done. However, it is always advisable for the younger people not to follow celebrities’ opinions blindly. It is one thing to hear celebrities breaking the mold; but it is quite another to know if they are degrading good social and family values.
范文:
In contemporary society, there is an indisputable fact that the celebreties, such as entertainers and sport stars, have been playing as a more and more important role in our life. Some people, especially teenagers, are sometimes fanantical about these stars. This phenomenon may lead some impressional individuals to draw a conclusion that thoughts of youngsters nowadays are more likely to be guided by the celebrities. However, this conern suffers both logical and practical fallacies. Considering the following factors, I am in favor of the opinion that younger people are not more impressionable than older people.

Admittedly, youngsters are usually regarded as expereice-lacked and their opinions are easily inflienced by their idols. Nevertheless, the advancement of tecnology brought by social procession make youngsters more likely to get access to abundant of information, which make sure that teeangers recieve all-rounded messages about the celebritys. On the contrary, the older people are usually busy about their own business, so sometimes they know much less about the famous than their children. According to a survey conducted by RenminNet, one of the most authorized media in China, 85 of the people being frauded last year are older people, which shows that in this message arid, experience seems not of that value like the past.

On the other hand, there is a tendency of parents since last century that they concentrate to cultivate the independece of children, which makes younsters in this decade tend to make their own decisions rather than relying on opinions from others. Taking my brother, a typical high-school student as an example, when I tell him some items or theorems that might be used in his studying, he always look it up or prove it by himself. Also, when I ask him about this viewpoint about some current issues, he always propose his dstinct, but plausible ideas. Therefore, I believe that youngsters nowadys are not easily being cheated like us. And they will learn from their idol when they actually did some thing deserved to be respected.

Additionally, the social status of these famous people are declining in this century. I also remember the inspiring stories about the success of famous people, however, we now know some of them are fake. Also, the importance of success, such as persistence, humility are learned deeply by youngster. They have realized that they can also achieve their own success by themesleves, what the difference between their idol and themsleves is just some opportunities or talent, so they sometimes regard the famous people as predecessors rather than unachievable goals.

In a nutshell, teenagers nowadays are less likely to be influenced by the famous because they have wider information sources and more independent personalities. Anyway, there is one thounsand Hamlet in one thousand people’s eyes, I hope the people holding opposite opinions might somehow compromise after exosed to this articel.
