A woman came out of her house and saw 3 old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them. She said, "I don't think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat." "Is the man of the house home?" they asked. "No," she said. "He's out." "Then we cannot come in." they replied.
一个女人从屋里出来时，看见三个白胡子老人坐在自家的前院里。她对这三个陌生人说道：“我不认识你们，可你们一定饿了。请进屋吧！我给你们弄点东西吃。”“家里的男主人在吗？”他们问道。“不在，”她说，“他到外面去了。”“那么，我们不能进去。”他们答道。
In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened. “Go tell them I am home and invite them in!”

The woman went out and invited the men in. “We do not go into a House together, “they replied.

One of the old men explained: ”His name is Wealth,” he said pointing to one of his friends, and said pointing to another one, “He is Success, and I am Love.” Then he added, “Now go in and discuss with your husband which one of us you want in your home.” The woman went in and told her husband what was said. Her husband was overjoyed. “Wealth. Let him come and fill our home with wealth!”
其中一位老人指着身边的一个朋友解释道：“他叫‘财富’。”又指着另外一个说道：“他是‘成功’，而我是‘爱’。”然后，他继续说道：“你们想邀请哪一位进屋呢？现在，去和丈夫商量商量吧！”女人进去告诉丈夫老人所说的话，她丈夫欣喜若狂地说道：“太好了！既然如此，我们就邀请‘财富’，让他进来使我们家财万贯吧！”
His wife disagreed, “My dear, why don't we invite Success?” Their daughter-in-law was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped in with her own suggestion: “Would it not be better to invite Love? Our home will then be filled with love! ”
“亲爱的，为什么我们不邀请‘成功’呢？”他的妻子反对道。坐在屋子里另一个角落的儿媳听到了，便插嘴说出了自己的观点：“邀请‘爱’不是更好吗？这样我们家就爱意盈盈了！”

Love got up and started walking toward the house. The other 2 also got up and followed him. Surprised, the lady asked Wealth and Success: “I only invited Love, Why are you coming in?”
“爱”起身走向房子，另外两个也站了起来，跟着他。女人惊讶地问“财富”和“成功”：“只有‘爱’受到了邀请，为什么你们也进来呢？”
The old men replied together: “ If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two of us would've stayed out, but since you invited Love, wherever He goes, we go with him. Wherever there is Love, there is also Wealth and Success! ”
老人们同时答道：“如果是‘财富’或‘成功’受到你的邀请，那其他两位就不会进屋，但你邀请了‘爱’，我们与‘爱’始终相伴相随，有‘爱’的地方，就有‘成功’与‘财富’！”
