some non-tech related question

1. Why do you want to join microsoft?

I started to use microsoft software when I was in High school. And I'm very insterested in software. I believe Microsoft is a creative company and I could have a lot of fun to work in Microsoft. 

 

2. Why do you want to join our team instead of your team?

Because I'm interested in the <project name>. 

 

3. Need to prepare some question about the project you apply.

 

4. If the testing schedule changed just before the deadline. How would you do?

Just identify the change and how it would be affect the whole release. And also analyze if the change is important or not. Also will discuss with PM for the opinion. Will see if the change could be delay to next release or not.

 

5. If some serious bug found the area you testing just before it release date. How would you do?

First I will discuss with dev to identify how serious the bug is. And also discuss with PM to see if we need to fix the bug or not. If the time is allowed, dev will fix the bug and we need to do the BVT and regression testing to verify the bug won't affect other features. 

 

6. If the spec not provided for your feature, how would you do?

First I will ask dev for the spec, if the dev still don't give you the spec, I will escalate to PM or write the spec for this feature I need to test. Because I think the feature spec is very important to do the test.

7. If there's some bug which can't repro by dev, how would you do?

 

8. Why do you think you could be an FTE? (How could you know you could do well in your daily job?)

Because I do the same job as FTE in daily life. I'm very careful when working on the project. Also I think I have potential to do the better job in the future.
