I Am Fortunate Indeed

  From a friend’s words, I learned one of her classmates’ story. His parents spent a lot of money sending him to study medicine in Russia . While, he hadn’t got the makings of a student. Owing to the terrible achievement, he failed to go up to the next grade, which means another year’s tuition fee had to be paid. Bored by study, he went back slinkingly, holding out on his parents. He didn’t want to go home or didn’t dare to. What he wanted to do now is to earn money in the home country, at the same time gain a fake diploma aboard.

  I should have intended to reproach his corruption, after all, no matter what happens, home is the safest place to go. While, my friend says he doesn’t have a happy family. His parents do not get along very well. What a pathetic person! Maybe it is the circumstance of his family that is responsible for his corruption.

  In comparison with his bitter experience, my pressure and difficulties are nothing at all. I am fortunate indeed. As the only child of my parents, I come by all of their energy and painstaking effort and enjoy the happy atmosphere of family. At present time I am awfully homesick and can’t help missing my parents.
