In today's class, we learnt about network security. It is the protection of the data transmitted in the channels. The network security prevents people from getting in to the middle of a transmission and extract information from others' words.
Therefore, people developed WEP, WPA and different versions of WPA 2 in order to achieve such purpose.
However, not all of them are as secured as what we think, WPA can be cracked easily:
1. Get An ISO File for CDLinux Putit in C:/
2. Install EasyBCD & NeoGrub
3. In EasyBCD Press Configure, Write the followingcode in the poped up notepad:
titleCDlinuxin Simplified Chinese
find--set-root /CDlinux/bzImage
root(hd0,1)
kernel/CDlinux/bzImagequiet
CDL_LANG=zh_CN.UTF-8
initrd/CDlinux/initrd
4. Restart the Computer
5. Open CDLinux, 2 Hours Later, WPA is cracked
Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) is a security algorithm for IEEE 802.11 wireless networks. Introduced as part of the original 802.11 standard ratified in 1997, its intention was to provide data confidentiality comparable to that of a traditional wired network.WEP, recognizable by the key of 10 or 26 hexadecimal digits, was at one time widely in use and was often the first security choice presented to users by router configuration tools.
Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) and Wi-Fi Protected Access II (WPA2) are two security protocols and security certification programs developed by the Wi-Fi Alliance to secure wireless computer networks. The Alliance defined these in response to serious weaknesses researchers had found in the previous system, Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP).
