What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Expected to get the activity and run the test. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? The app that I am testing requires me to login and thus the activity that I have marked as my start activity might redirect me to another activity and I recon that is why it hangs as it gets confused that it is not getting the activity it expects. Changing my start activity solved my problem.
