SSH ControlPersist rocks.

$ cat config 
ControlPath ~/.ssh/controlmasters/%r@%h:%p
ControlMaster auto
ControlPersist 60

By allowing "ControlPersist", 

• any connected ssh session could quit (without this, the first session can not quit unless all other session are terminated)
• even if all sessions are seemingly terminated, within the time period new connections are still using an established master connection
• can be manually terminated easily using "ssh -O exit <host>"
