linux:

1. software: google chrome, git-core, vim, xvidcap(屏幕录制)
2. programming: eclipse, ant, tomcat, sun-java6-jdk sun-java6-source, maven2, rake, sass, emacs
3. tools: iotop htop rlwrap unrar p7zip openssh-servertmux iptraf pktstat(network), ms-sys(create windows bootable flash disk from ISO), nginx, curl,
4. font: inconsolata (console), Consolas(emacs)
5. other: ia32-libs synergy samba VMware
6. command to install

   sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install vim emacs23 git-core \
   iotop htop rlwrap unrar p7zip pktstat sun-java6-jdk \
   sun-java6-source zsh rake ttf-inconsolata ia32-libs tmux

windows:

1. imdisk (a tmpfs like for windows)
2. google chrome, firefox (firebug, web developer toolbar, FireQuery, YSlow, Firepicker)
3. visual studio, office 2010, visio
4. photoshop cs5
5. synergy, 7-zip, Virtual CloneDrive (mount iso in windows)
6. sketchup, google earth
7. VMware
8. cygwin (+ xinit openssh wget)
