Death Knight Class is primarily centered on melee combat. The Death Knight was the first class to be released with its own blood sigil, a symbol of the death knight's unbending will, while the Black Death plague and Death Strike are staples of its offensive spells. Also, most of the spells Blood has granted to the Death Knight are single-target abilities, with great potential for usefulness but not as useful as those from spells with many hit point effects. Most of the spells in this class make use of the Eternal Hunger rune, which summons a wisp that periodically consumes the life of enemies to restore its own.

The Dragonflayer's Rage now activates when a player gets at least 8 minutes of negative stamina from physical damage within a 15 minute window, and the ability increases the regeneration rate of a Death Knight
