关于导师: 唐萌博士(www.mengtang.org)将于2023年一月入职加州大学Merced分校计算机系任助理教授，现招收多名计算机视觉、优化算法、机器学习和深度学习方向博士生并提供全额奖学金。

唐萌博士在计算机视觉顶级会议和期刊包括ICCV/ECCV/CVPR/TPAMI/IJCV发表多篇文章 ，谷歌学术引用上千 。唐萌博士于2019年获滑铁卢大学计算机博士学位。唐萌博士研究兴趣广泛，包括无监督和弱监督学习，计算机视觉中的优化问题，基于视觉的定位，二维和三维视觉感知。唐萌博 士有多年的业界经验，曾在Meta/Disney/Amazon/Borealis AI担任研究科学家或见习研究员。

About the advisor: Meng Tang will join the department of computer science as an assistant professor at the University of California at Merced in Jan. 2023. Multiple PhD positions in computer vision and machine learning are available in Fall 2023 or Spring 2024.

 He is a research scientist at Meta Reality Labs Research from 2019 to 2022. He obtained his PhD in computer science from the University of Waterloo in 2019. He has been a research intern at Amazon visual search, Disney Research Zurich, and Borealis AI. His research interests lie in 2D/3D visual perception, localization, and scene understanding, with focus on unsupervised learning, semi-supervised learning, and optimization methods. His work appears at top-tier conferences and journals including ICCV/CVPR/ECCV/TPAMI/IJCV, which has more than 1,000 citations according to google scholar(https://scholar.google.ca/citations?user=6DmW9v0AAAAJ&hl=en).

About UC Merced: The University of California, Merced is a public research university in Merced, the tenth and newest campus of the University of California system. UC Merced is ranked 12th in computer vision and 61th overall in CS in the USA according to csrankings.org. It is two hours away from Silicon Valley and one and a half hours from the beautiful Yosemite National Park shown as the background of this flyer.
