为什么 cover “报道” 的意思？

答：cover本身是覆盖的意思，你可以这么想象，全世界随时都会有新闻冒出来，但是要报道一个新闻你就得有一个记者在那个区域。这么看来的话一名记者只能覆盖一定大小的一块区域，一个新闻媒体也不可能完全覆盖全世界的新闻。所以如果一媒体的一个记者可以报道一个新闻，那是因为他覆盖了那个地理位置，他覆盖了那条新闻。
