ArawngKagitingan, also known as Dayof Valor, commemorates the heroism of the Filipinos and American troops  when the Japanese occupied the Philippinesduring the World War II.

巴丹日，节期是4月9日。菲律宾人民以此来缅怀第二次世界大战中菲律宾和美国军队的英烈

On this day, many streets are closed and publictransport routes may be redirected to give way for World War II veterans paradein different cities in the Philippines, but the main highlight occurs when thecountry’s president gives a speech at the Mt Samat shrine(Bataan Death March Shrine), in the Bataanprovince. Malls and other leisure areas remain open and most people may go tothese places and use this day as a family day

4 月 9 日当天，政府封锁许多街道，重新调整交通路线，为二战老兵举行游行提供便利。节日的高潮则是总统在巴丹省 Samat 山上的神社（巴丹死亡行军神社 ) 发表演讲。但商场和其它娱乐场所照常营运。大部分菲律宾人民会在这一天与家人聚会。
