Remove K Digits
Given a non-negative integer num represented as a string, remove k digits from the number so that the new number is the smallest possible.
Note:
The length of num is less than 10002 and will be ≥ k.
The given num does not contain any leading zero.
Example
Input: num = “1432219”, k = 3
Output: “1219”
Explanation: Remove the three digits 4, 3, and 2 to form the new number 1219 which is the smallest.
Solution
# or None when most cases k==0 then o or None equals None which means the entire list
class Solution(object):
def removeKdigits(self, num, k):
"""
:type num: str
:type k: int
:rtype: str
"""
stack = []
for s in num:
while k and stack and stack[-1]>s:
stack.pop()
k -= 1
stack.append(s)
return ''.join(stack[:-k or None]).lstrip('0') or '0'
