download the iso files
 
sudo mount -o loop ~/Downloads/matl12au.iso /mnt/temp

./install

Could not complete Activation because the License File could not be written todisk.  You might not have writepermission on the License File or the folder./usr/local/MATLAB/R2012a/licenses/license_GpuServer_161052_R2012a.lic  See your System Administrator for assistance.The specific error message text is: /usr/local/MATLAB/R2012a/licenses/license_GpuServer_161052_R2012a.lic(Permission denied). (the download files may lack some packages, so you have tochange the version of your matlab iso file. The matlab2012a can work, butmatlab2012b may something wrong when install)


sudo chmod 777 ~/.matlab/R2010a/matlab.prf




load and unload iso

sudo mount -o loop ~/Downloads/matl12au.iso /mnt/temp
sudo umount /mnt/temp


how to run matlab


$ cd /usr/local/MATLAB/R2012a/bin
$ ./matlab
