Recently just met an issue which fail to push client into target machine, even both primary site and target machine are all in one domain, and all network connect is fine. But it always failed to be installed client. After digging from internet and some investigations, find out how to resovle such problems. So avoiding forget the resolution about it. Just mark it in here.
Server:
Win2K8 R2/SCCM 2007 SP2
Client:
Win7 Pro 64
1. Find out what happened to lead such issue
From Server log(<INSTALL_PATH>\Logs or SMS_CCM\Logs\Ccm.log) , you can get such error 0x800706ba.
2. At client side, enable all ports going to use for SCCM(Port details)
3. At client side, enable following services, and ensure they are start up type is "Automated":
- Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI)
- Remote Procedure call(RPC)
- TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper
- Background Intelligent Transfer Service(BITS)
4. At server side, using "wbemtest.exe" try to connect remote WMI to check whether client machine's WMI can be accessable, also you can use WQL to double confirm, such as "select * from Win32_process", if success, all processes belonged to remote machine can be dump
5. At server side, ensure bounary is setting
6. At AD server side, ensure "System Management" node have enough rights
5. Resend installation client request and double confirm results, it should be resovled.
