Former Central Michigan great Dave Keilitz inducted into MAC Hall of Fame

CLEVELAND The MidAmerican Conference recently honored some of its past greats, which included former UGGs Black Friday Central Michigan standout Dave Keilitz.

Keilitz, as well as Kim Knuth, Bill Mallory, Brad Maynard, John Offerdahl, Christi Smith and Gary Trent were selected as the induction class to the 2013 MAC Hall of Fame. The ceremony takes place on Thursday, May 30 at the Cleveland Renaissance Hotel.

Keilitz was Central Michigan first AllAmerican baseball player as a senior in 1964 when he was named to the NAIA first team. Black Friday UGGs He then moved on to coaching side of the game, eventually becoming head coach in 1971.

In 14 years at the helm, he compiled a 4532036 record, winning four league championships in the process. He was named the MAC Coach of the Year four times and the Regional Coach of the Year twice.

He never suffered a losing season with the Chippewas and led them to a No. 1 ranking and berth in the national championship, making his Black Friday UGG Boots way into the CMU Athletics Hall of Fame.

In 1984, he became the CMU Athletic Director and led the Chippewas to 26 conference championships in 10 years.

Keilitz was a member of 2013 Black Friday UGGs several American Baseball Coaches Association committees and served as president of the organization in 1982. He has served as the Executive Director of the Board of Directors since its inception during his term.

He served on the NCAA Council from 198992 and chaired the NCAA Baseball Committee, was a member of the NCAA PostGraduate Scholarship Committee, the UGG Boots Black Friday NCAA Committee to Review Legislative Process and the NCAA Television Committee. He also chaired the committee to Tune legislation from the 1991 NCAA Reform. Convention.
