Goal

The goal is to configure and test WebUtil on Unix, Forms 11.1.1.2

Solution

1. Oracle WebUtil is delivered and installed as a component of the Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g. You can find the WebUtil files as part of the default installation.

frmwebutil.jar -> $ORACLE_HOME/forms/java

webutil.olb -> $ORACLE_HOME/forms
webutil.pll -> $ORACLE_HOME/forms
create_webutil_db.sql -> $ORACLE_HOME/forms

sign_webutil.bat -> $ORACLE_INSTANCE/bin (additional copy in -> $ORACLE_HOME/forms/templates/scripts)

d2kwut60.dll -> $ORACLE_HOME/forms/webutil

webutil.cfg and webutilbase.htm and webutiljpi.htm
->$ORACLE_INSTANCE/config/FormsComponent/forms/server
->$ORACLE_HOME/forms/templates/config

2. Additional you need to download 1.10.1 jacob.jar / jacob.dll from:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/jacob-project/files/

Download version 1.10.1
http://sourceforge.net/projects/jacob-project/files/jacob-project/1.10.1/jacob_1.10.1.zip/download

Copy the file jacob.jar into $ORACLE_HOME/forms/java
Copy the file jacob.dll into $ORACLE_HOME/forms/webutil

3. Make sure you install the Webutil Database Objects by running $ORACLE_HOME/forms/create_webutil_db.sql

4. For testing purpose please download Webutil test file and compile it on your UNIX machine.

Copy WU_TEST_106.fmb to $ORACLE_HOME/forms

export TERM=vt220
export ORACLE_TERM=vt220

./frmcmp_batch.sh Module_Type=LIBRARY Module=$ORACLE_HOME/forms/webutil.pll userid=scott/tiger@ORCL
./frmcmp_batch.sh module=$ORACLE_HOME/forms/WU_TEST_106.fmb userid=scott/tiger@ORCL

5. Run the test form. with the following url:

http://server:9001/forms/frmservlet?config=webutil&form=WU_TEST_106.fmx

To make sure webutil.cfg is used you need to specify parameter config=webutil at runtime.
