Symptoms
While applying one-off patch you may hit with the following error:
The following warnings has happened during OPatch execution:
1) OUI-67003:File not backed up from /home/oracle/db10g/lib/libserver10.a to /home/oracle/db10g/.patch_storage/5036588_Feb_26_2006_22_46_11/files/lib/libserver10.a/kewm.o... 'ar: 0707-109 Member name kewm.o does not exist.
Cause
This error is occuring because on AIX when we archive an object in the library, we need to specify the format using the -X argument.Solution
To implement the solution, please follow the below steps:
1. $ export OBJECT_MODE=32_64
2. $ opatch apply
If it is failing on the 2nd node you can manually apply the patch on the 2nd by:
1. $ export OBJECT_MODE=32_64
2. $ opatch apply -local.
Also, please don't forget to run slibclean before applying the patch.
