Term/Abbreviation	Definition
cable assembly	Cable attached with plugs.
captive cable	Cable assembly that has a Type-A plug on one end and that is either permanently attached or has a vendor specific connector on the other end.
Gen1	Gen1是一个形容词，用来指与5.0Gbps信令速率相关联的物理层。原始USB超高速PHY和Gen1PHY指的是相同的PHY。
Gen2	GEN 2是一个形容词，用来指与10 Gbps信令速率相关的物理层。
Gen X	当主题特定于phy层，但不需要特定于gen1或gen2时，genx是一个通用术语，用于指任何组合gen1、gen2或gen1/gen2。
Gen X x Y	X 指的是电线上的信号速率（gen1、gen2 等）而 y 指的是 lane 的数量。
