Getting "Connection Not Active" In Evmd.Log [ID 955863.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
The Oracle Clusterware processes are working properly and database connections are all fine.
Example of the errors:
Those warnings are always reported as indicated in unpublished Bug 3251584 .
They concern connections between the evmd daemons and other processes that are disconnected from the point of view of the evmd, i.e. the evmd detect the remote connections are not active anymore, but the remote side has not disconnect the link in a proper way.
Also these are secondary errors that have a meaning only when some other errors occur at the remote side, e.g. in crsd.log, racgimon, ons layer.
Those evmd messages can be ignored and are just informative.

Cause
From Bug 9027818 which closed as not a bug:Those warnings are always reported as indicated in unpublished Bug 3251584 .
They concern connections between the evmd daemons and other processes that are disconnected from the point of view of the evmd, i.e. the evmd detect the remote connections are not active anymore, but the remote side has not disconnect the link in a proper way.
Solution
Hence the warning message may not be removed as indicated in unpublished Bug 3251584 .Also these are secondary errors that have a meaning only when some other errors occur at the remote side, e.g. in crsd.log, racgimon, ons layer.
Those evmd messages can be ignored and are just informative.
