In case we’ve got a EWM system integrated with ERP, a situation will always challenge us. How should we do in case changing the sales order quantity is needed when it is right on the way of warehouse processing? It will be a tough work for both the sales clerks and warehouse staffs.
The ehp3 introduced a new feature to better handle it. You can change sales order in ERP and the system will issue a change request to EWM if the order quantity falls below the delivery quantity. The EWM can confirm the change by sending back a message to ERP which will lead to the update of the delivery quantity accordingly. The EWM can also reject the request in case the processing status allows no modification any more, and the receiving of the message at the ERP side will trigger an email to the inbox of the staff in charge, who will look into it and settle it manually.
Of course, the enhancement provided is far from enough, there still exists considerable space for improvement.
