Symptoms

On : 12.1.3 version, Retirement & Reinstatement

When attempting to do the retirement after do the impairment in the previous period in the same year the following error occurs.

ERROR
APP-OFA-48392:You cannot create a transaction which is overlapping or is in the same fiscal year of a previously entered impairment.

Cause

This is due to the Bug 10328635 iureval:p2: error when trying to retire a previously impaired asset
Solution
To implement the solution, please execute the following steps:
1) Please download and review the readme for Patch.10328635:R12.FA.B.
2) Please apply Patch. 10328635:R12.FA.B in a test environment.
3) Please confirm the following file versions:
FAPADJB.pls 120.54.12010000.28
FAPRETB.pls 120.78.12010000.28
FAPTFRB.pls 120.9.12010000.6
FAVVALB.pls 120.69.12010000.48
You can use the commands like the following:
strings -a ffffffff |grep '$Header'
4) Please retest the issue.
5) If the issue is resolved, please migrate the solution as appropriate to other environments.
