Transparent Gateway

(1)   install the transparent gateway compent, you will see  a directory :  $Oracle_home\ora90\tg4msql

(2)  configure  listener.ora,add sid_desc to sid_list_listener

(sid_desc=(global_dbname=mis)

                     (sid_name=mis)

                     (oracle_home=d:\oracle\ora92)

                     (program=tg4msql)

)

(3)under the directory:oracle_home\ora92\tg4msql\admin

make the file init.ora because the sid is  mis

so , we create this  file initsmis.ora

initsmis.ora:

HS_FDS_CONNECT_INFO="server=192.168.1.100;database=mis"

HS_FDS_TRACE_LEVEL=off

HS_FDS_RECOVERY_ACCOUNT=recover

HS_FDS_RECOVERY_PWD=recover

(4)restart listener

(5)configure tnsname.ora

mis=

(description=

(address_list =

(address=(protocol=tcp)(host=192.168.1.100)(port=1521))

(connect_data=

(sid=mis)

)

(HS=OK)

)

)

(6) build the dblink

create database link db_mssql connect to mis identified by mis usring 'mis';
