I have prepared an example, using the ShowingEditor event to prevent specific cell editing. It is attached.
But, what do you mean saying "does not support VGRID.CurrentRecord"? Please explain the problem in detail.

How to set maximum to rows and columns in Spreadsheet

is there a possibility to set the maximum row and column? At the moment if my sheet contains 100 used rows the user can scroll way beyond this 100 rows.

spreadsheetControl.WorksheetDisplayArea.SetSize(spreadsheetControl.ActiveWorksheet.Name, 20, 100);  

Get the number of rows and columns in a worksheet

Assuming a worksheet with data from column A to E and rows 1 to 6 (all other rows and columns are empty) is there anyway to get the number of "not-empty" rows (6) and columns(5)?

It is very common to import data from other sources in excel format, so this would be very usefull.

In your scenario, I recommend you obtain a used cell range by using the WorkSheet.GetUsedRange method:

Range usedRange = workSheet.GetUsedRange();
