一、HashMap源码解析(源码在最下方,几个重要的方法我都添加了注释)

1、关于HashMap的源码中比较值得去了解的方法有以下这几个,可以着重关注一下其中的实现原理

(1)resize方法 扩容

(2)putVal方法 进行元素的插入

(3)put方法 实际上也是调用了putVal方法

2、HashMap的扩容机制以及HashMap的存储结构。

(1)什么时候扩容呢?

通过HashMap源码可以看到是在put操作时,即向容器中添加元素时,判断当前容器中元素的个数是否达到阈值(当前数组长度乘以加载因子的值)的时候,就要自动扩容了。

(2)扩容的本质是什么?

扩容其实就是重新计算容量;而这个扩容是计算出所需容器的大小之后重新定义一个新的容器,将原来容器中的元素放入其中。

(3)HashMap的存储结构是什么?

实际上是数组+链表+红黑树的存储结构

当哈希表中容量大于TREEIFY_THRESHOLD(桶的树化阈值)时,尝试将链表结构转为红黑树结构,但是只有哈希表中容量大于MIN_TREEIFY_CAPACITY(最小树形化容量阈值)时才会树形化为红黑树,否则仅进行扩容。下面这张图是从网上找的,可能会对理解HashMap的数据结构有帮助

二、HashMap和HashTable的区别?HashMap为什么是线程不安全的?

HashMap和HashTable都实现了Map接口,本质上没有什么区别,他们的主要区别有以下几点:

1、线程的安全性不同。

HashTable实现了synchronization同步,而HashTable没有实现synchronization同步,这也是为什么HashMap不是线程安全的原因。

2、是否可以接受空值不同。

Hashmap可以接受null值(key和value都可以,但是只允许有一个null的key),而HashTable不允许null值(key和value都不可以)

3、遍历方法不同。

HashTable使用Enumeration遍历,HashMap使用Iterator进行遍历。Iterator迭代器是fail-fast机制的,而Enumeration迭代器不是,所以当有其它线程改变了HashMap的结构(增加或者移除元素),将会抛出异常ConcurrentModificationException,但迭代器本身的remove()方法移除元素则不会抛出此异常。但这并不是一个一定发生的行为,要看JVM。这条同样也是Enumeration和Iterator的区别。

注:fail-fast 机制是java集合(Collection)中的一种错误机制。当多个线程对同一个集合的内容进行操作时,就可能会产生fail-fast事件

4、初始化和扩容方式不同。HashTable中hash数组初始化大小及扩容方式不同。

Hashtable默认的初始大小为11,之后每次扩充,容量变为原来的2n+1。HashMap默认的初始化大小为16。之后每次扩充,容量变为原来的2倍。

三、HashMap如何实现同步呢

Map m = Collections.synchronizedMap(new HashMap())

可以通过上面的写法来达到同步的效果。具体而言,该方法会返回一个同步的Map,该Map封装了底层的HashMap的所有方法,使得底层的HashMap即使在多线程的环境中也是安全的。
