tftp on busybox usage

1. usage of tftp

Usage: tftp [OPTIONS] HOST [PORT]

Transfer a file from/to tftp server

Options:
        -l FILE Local FILE
        -r FILE Remote FILE
        -g      Get file
        -p      Put file
        -b SIZE Transfer blocks of SIZE octets

2. open tftp server on win7

   double click to start tftpd32.exe

3. example for tftp client on busybox

3.1 put file from busybox to win7

tftp -p -l config.lua 192.168.2.102

3.2 get file from win7 to busybox

tftp -g -r tftpd32.ini 192.168.2.102

 

Ubuntu tftpd install and configuration

1. install

apt-get install tftpd

2. configuration

create a new file tftp in /etc/xinetd.d

edit tftp file, input followings into it

service tftp
{socket_type = dgram
protocol = udp
wait = yes
user = root
server = /usr/sbin/in.tftpd
server_args = -s /tftp
disable = no
per_source = 11
cps = 100 2
flags = IPv4}

3. restart tftpd

mkdir -p /tftp

chmod -R 777 /tftp

/etc/init.d/xinetd restart
