情态动词

“情态”顾名思义，就是表达情绪和态度。

情态动词 + 动词原形

一般情况下，情态动词不能单独用，需要在后面搭配一个动词原形。
这种变化跟时态和语态不一样了，时态和语态都是把这个动词变成各种各样不同的形式。

情态动词没有人称的变化

一般普通的动词都有第三人称单数，但是情态动词没有。

情态动词时态的变化也很有限

情态动词最多就2种时态：一般现在时、一般过去时。

现在时       过去时
must        无
can         could
will        would
shall       should
may         might

must语气比较强，通常都是表示命令，必须怎么怎么样

We [must finish] the work within a week.
Ari pollution [must be taken] seriously.
#情态+被动语态

can/could通常表示能力，能够…，可以…

The govenment [can solve] the problem of water pollution.
"政府能够解决水污染的问题"
Tony [could walk] when he was only one year old.
"Tony只有1岁的时候就能走路了"

will/would表示“愿意/将要“

[Will] you [marry] me?
I [will travel] abroad with my family.
Potential buyers [would cheer] for lower interest rates.

may/might表示“可以，可能“

To some extent,expressions [may influence] emotions.
Such bodily reaction [might help] moderate the work stress.

should表示“应该”

Students [should work] hard to pass the exams.

Those sick people [should seek] help from doctors.
