Effectively there are two different versions of an info record and two different areas of data. Firstly there is the "short" info record. this is an info record that does not have a price specified, all it does is store the details of POs raised against the Material / vendor combination (PO number and price paid). If you do not manually create an info record by using ME11 or ME12 and just use the "auto info record" update from the PO, that is all you get, a "short" info record with purchasing history. By setting the info record flag on the PO the system will create the "short" info record automatocally and also update it every time a PO is raised for that combination of material and vendor. But all that is update is the PO number and last price paid. The next time you create a PO it references this and if it is the same vendor and material it can fill in the "last price paid". Some people just use info records in this way and do nothing else. BUT, if you maintain an info record and add the price condition/s manually (using ME11 or ME12) then this info record is then a "Full" Info record and the price on a Full info record is only ever manually changed and never changed directly from the PO (but the last PO and last PO price is still updated automatically to keep the history up to date). So prices and pricing conditions in ME11 / 12 and 13 are NEVER automatically changed by the PO. The only thing the info record indicator does is to update the "short" version of the info record with the PO details.
