    An internal error occurred during:"Retrieving archetypes:"

二、解决办法

    1. 首先去maven官网下载http://repo1.maven.org/maven2/archetype-catalog.xml文件。 

    2. 在eclipse点击windows->preferences->Maven->archetypes-->Add Local Catalog...

    3、在Catalog File中选择下载的archetype-catalog.xml文件，并填写Description为Local-Catalogs，点击Ok

    4、取消Nexus Indexer 和 Default Local的选中，点击Apply和Apply and Close，重启Eclipse

    5. 再次创建maven项目，Catalog选择模版较少的Internal或者更全面的Local-Catalogs即可
