Writing task 1
In Australia in 1999, there were only 4%(48,000) of people from aged couple families living in poverty, the lowest proportion among all household types, and there were up to 21%(232,000) from sole parent families living in poverty, which is the highest.
Compare to couple families, families of single person were more likely to be living in poverty. For example, 19% single families with no children were poor and only 7% couples without a child lived in such condition.
Tallying all household types, there were totally 11% (1,837,000) of Australian families living in poverty.
