英语语法总结--动名词

一．动名词作主语、宾语和表语

动词变为进行时的规则：
（1）动词以单个e 结尾，去掉e；加 ing动词以ee结尾,直接加ing ,如：agree→agreeing;see →seeing
（2）动词为单音节：以单一元音字母 + 单一辅音字母结尾,辅音字母双写
（3）动词为双音节或者多音节：最后一个音节为重读音节，以单一元音字母 + 单一辅音字母结尾，辅音字母双写，再加ing
（4）以y 结尾的动词，直接加ing

1）作主语
　　FightingbrokeoutbetweentheSouthandtheNorth.
　　南方与北方开战了。

2）作宾语　
　a.动词后加动名词doing作宾语V.+doingsth

二．worth的用法

worth，worthy，worth-while都为adj.　意为"值得"。

1.worth：beworth+n.　当名词为金钱时，表示"……值得……"
　beworthdoingsth.　"……某事值得被做"
　　　Thequestionisnotworthdiscussingagainandagain.

2.worthy：beworthyof+n.　当名词为抽象名词时表示"……值得……"
　beworthytobedone"某事值得被做"
　　　Thequestionisnotworthytobediscussedagainandagain.

3.worth-while：beworth-whiletodosth　"值得做某事"
　worthwhile：Itisworthwhiledoingsth
　　　　　　　　Itisworthwhilesbtodosth.

典型例题
Itisnot____todiscussthequestionagainandagain.
A.worth　B.worthy　C.worth-while　D.worthwhile
答案C.由worth的用法可知，此句只适合词组beworth-whiletodosth.。因此选C。
