wine5.0 can‘t input chinese character

topic : how to fix 2 wine_hq (wine5.0) troubles on ubuntu20.04 (focal version)

1 summary: troubles we meets:

1.1 WXwork is unable to display chinese character.

1.2 using google_pinyin can not input chinese character into WXwork. photo below is caputured after fixed that 2 bugs.

1.3 wechat is unable to display chinese character.

2.1 fix WXwork is unable to display chinese character.

u can save last paragraph as simsun.reg and

cd ~/.wine/driver_c/windows/Fonts
regedit simsung.reg

and then it will work normal.

 

2.2 fix google_pinyin can not input chinese character:

2.2.1.1 download W2SP4_EN.exe and InstMsiw.exe

2.2.1.2 W2SP4_EN.exe links:

2.2.1.3 InstMsiw.exe  links:

2.2.2.1  copy your W2SP4_EN.exe  into ~/.cache/winetricks/win2ksp4/

2.2.2.2 copy your InstMsiw.exe  into ~/.cache/winetricks/msls31/

2.2.2.3  rerun winetricks  riched20.wait just a few secondss and it works done.

$winetricks riched20 

2.3 wechat is unable to display chinese character.

reason : my ubutnu is english edition .

try to add this :LANG=zh_CN.UTF-8. it gets done.
