Powerpath for AIX ODM包安装说明

Powerpath for AIX的ODM包版本6.0.0.4和6.0.0.5的最低支持操作系统版本是AIX7.1，因此如果在AIX 6.1的系统中使用ODM包则不能用以上两个版本，需要使用dell官网上下载的6.1.1.1版本的ODM包(免费，注册账号即可下载)，该ODM的官网描述如下：

AIX Version Support
The previous ODM version 5.3.x.x and 6.0.0.x are unified to this 6.1.1.0 version. AIX version 5.2, 5.3, 6.1,
7.1, 7.2 and VIOS should be supported by this version**.

INSTALLP PROCEDURE:
Step 1) Log onto the AIX server as root.
Step 2) Copy the DellEMC.AIX.6.1.1.0 file into the /usr/sys/inst.images directory.
Step 3) Run command inutoc .
Step 4) Invoke smit installp.
Step 5) Select option: Install and Update from LATEST Available Software.
Step 6) Use List function to select the /usr/sys/inst.images as Installation directory.
Step 7) Use List function to select one or more of the following:
DellEMC Symmetrix AIX Support Software; Standard utility support.
DellEMC Symmetrix FCP Support Software; IBM Fibre Channel driver support.(Supports PowerPath)
DellEMC Symmetrix FCP MPIO Support Software; IBM default PCM MPIO support.
DellEMC Symmetrix iSCSI Support Software; IBM iSCSI driver support.(Supports PowerPath)
DellEMC CLARiiON AIX Support Software; Standard utility support.
DellEMC CLARiiON FCP Support Software; IBM Fibre Channel driver support.(Supports PowerPath)
DellEMC CLARiiON FCP MPIO Support Software; IBM default PCM MPIO support.
DellEMC CLARiiON iSCSI Support Software; IBM iSCSI driver support.(Supports PowerPath)

Step 8) Press Enter AFTER making all desired changes, Default options are OK.
Step 9) After installation has completed, scroll down to the bottom of the Installation Summary and verify “SUCCESS” message is present for filesets installed. Exit SMIT.
Step 10) Installation completed.
