ODTK general new features
ODTK AI+
For ODTK 7.9, you can obtain a license to use the Quality Assessment Tool (QAT), which is an AI+ tool. QAT takes ODTK filter and smoother results and provides an indication of the quality of your orbit determination.
Optical Navigation using landmarks
You can now use two or more landmarks when simulating OpNav measurements. The previous version of ODTK restricted you to using one landmark.
Observation bias and noise geometrical dependence
You can now use satellite altitude and observation signal-to-noise ratio as independent variables for the specification of geometry-dependent measurement bias and noise.
Additional measurement processing
Amateur astronomer observations
ODTK now can process measurements in the Minor Planet Center format, which amateur astronomers use to report right ascension/declination measurements of natural and artificial satellites.
Receive_Phase_CT
As an extension to the CCSDS TDM tracking data format, ODTK processing now includes Receive_Phase_CT measurements. Measurements tagged as Receive_Phase_CT in the tracking data file are transformed into DSN Total Count Phase measurements in ODTK.
CCSDS TDM in qualified XML format
ODTK now can read the qualified XML form of CCSDS TDM files for the ingestion of tracking data. The qualified XML format uses namespace designations as part of the keywords.
Software updates
Python version
For ODTK 7.9, including ODTK AI+, you must use Python version 3.10.x.
