opensso install

after reading SAML specifications for 2 days, I decide to find an opensource implementation to feel how to use SAML.

the opensso is the most mature than other implementation and most importantly, it has detailed documents which can guide me to use it.

according to opensso documents, it supports weblogic v9 and v10. so at the beginning, I deploy opensso.war on weblogic, but fail.

it reports the following exceptions:

 

AdminTokenAction: FATAL ERROR: Cannot obtain Application SSO token. Check AMConfig.properties for the following properties com.sun.identity.agents.app.username com.iplanet.am.service.password, refer to install.log under e:/tmp/opensso for more information.

 

there is no suggestion on web to fix this.

 

so I have to change to glassfish.

 

glassfish is easy to install and management.

 

before starting glassfish domain, it is recommended to read this page,

the process of deploying and configuring opensso.war on glassfish is peaceful, no exception at all.
