Endianness:
Again, it’s not about operating systems. The entire x86 hardware architecture, from the lowly 8086 up to the latest Core 2 Quad, is little endian.
If (as mostly likely) you’re running Linux on an ordinary x86 CPU, you’ll be little endian.
