《大鱼》这部电影讲叙了一个喜欢不停地讲述自己故事的父亲和一个在寻求父亲故事的儿子。我之所以如此喜欢这部电影,我之所以在写这部电影之前用如此长的篇幅描绘了其它的东西,也许,仅仅是因为这部电影在某种程度上给予了我某种感动的契机,某种契合上的幻想。
  父亲所描绘的有关他的人生里所有的一切,从他的出生到最后所有的一切都带着一种浓烈的看似是冒险的英雄式的神话色彩。对于儿子来说,五岁之前他曾经如痴如狂迷醉过的那些英雄故事似乎只是睡觉前的佐料罢了,五岁之后的儿子听起来已经不再那么动听而向往了。他开始怀疑和思索着父亲的故事里有着多少的可信度以及真实性。
  也许,正如父亲的医生班尼特大夫所说:真实的故事乏味而不太有意思,不是吗?如果让我在乏味而真实的故事与关于鱼和戒指那个精美的故事之间做出选择的话,我会选择充满想象力的那个。
  选择精美,选择想象,这并没有错。
  给儿子一个永恒美好的人生,这是被后世记住的一种方式。一个人在不停了无数次地讲叙了自己的故事之后,他也会被别人编进故事里,而这些故事被别人传颂了无数次之后,所有的故事就会变成真实的了。
  铸造一个家族神话让后世去传颂,这是一个作为父亲的男人用来表达对一个作为儿子的男人一种深敛的温情。

  这部电影极其唯美,充满了想象力和魔幻式电影中那种暗涌的纯美。
  第一人称的视角和大量旁白的方式描绘了一个男人充满传奇色彩的一生,很多的时候我无暇去考究那所有的故事是否真实,毕竟对于我这样的旁观者来说,真实与否似乎并不那么重要。更重要的是,我在这些故事里看到更多的是那种内敛的深情。
  爱德华是一个所有人都喜欢的男人,因为他擅长于交际而且热衷此道,因为勇敢而善良,因为他的脑子里时时刻刻都有着充满想象力和新奇的故事。然而对于威尔来说却似乎完全不是这么一回事。他的父亲似乎更像是一个活在虚妄的童话故事里的一个虚拟的英雄,而他要的,仅仅只是一个在童话之外更真实的父亲而已。
  也许,他并不理解父亲那种深敛的亲情。这种理解上的错位给这部电影染上了一层淡淡的忧伤,两代人之间,父子之间的无力沟通似乎更像是一种现代通病。
  也许正如爱德华所愤怒的:我从来都是如此真实而毫不留情地向你展现我自己所有的一切,如果说,你看不到那个真实的我,那是你的失败而非我的失败。
  作为父亲,各自有着各自的表达方式,如何向自己的儿子展现一个真实的自己,用自我的方式彻底地展现,而儿子无法理解,是不是因为儿子没有尽力地去理解自己的父亲呢。
  爱德华的一生在絮絮叨叨的旁白里得以完整地展现在电影里,纵然这里面多少带着他极其主观的英雄色彩。而不管所有的这一切是否真实,如果威尔有足够的敏锐和细心的话,他也许会发现,在所有的传奇故事里都包含着一个同样真实的父亲,只是他并没有发现。这的确是威尔作为儿子的失败。
  威尔总在追寻的真实的故事,是关于父亲最真实的那一面。电影在最后揭示了这所有的一切:女巫;世人;幽灵镇;诗人;大鱼;马戏团;战争;孪生姐妹……所有的这一切其实都真实地存在过,只是爱德华用自己的方式用丰富的想象力串联并重组了之后被重新折射出来。我不知道威尔对这样的答案是否满意,可是在我看来,这样的结局让我满足而快乐。

  爱德华的故事里,他最终会意想不到地死去。但是他从来不曾对任何人说起,他最终将如何去面对他的死亡。他把他最后的故事留给了威尔。他也许知道,他的故事最终只能由他的儿子以及后辈讲下去,而他在现实里,只能躺在医院里安祥地死去。
  也许所有的故事最后只能由威尔来画上一个圆满的句号。爱德华所讲叙的所有一切,仅仅只是在为自己深爱的儿子做一个厚重的铺垫罢了。纵然在威尔眼里,他的父亲的故事里,他自己只是一个微不足道的注脚罢了。可是当威尔终于明白这一切的时候,他也许会发现自己,原来并没有真正地明白自己的父亲为他所做的一切。
  在电影里所有的故事里,也许,是威尔所讲的那个用来结束的故事最让我感动。不是故事本身让我感动,而是威尔在结束了父亲所有的传奇故事时,在我看来,他已经完全明白了父亲,以及,他已经开始触摸到那个若隐若现的真实的父亲了。
  或许应该说,是父子间真挚的亲情让我彻底地被感化了。

  这部电影更多的时候是对父子两代之间的沟通方式进行了探索。而只有到了生离死别的时候,这样的沟通方式是否代价惨重。
  悲悯是这部电影最大的注脚。就算这注脚一直隐藏在有关真挚的感动和有关繁华的唯美里,可是悲悯,当被挖掘出来之后,我突然没有了任何言语。
