How to instal windows in virtualbox
To install the VBox in Ubuntu and setup Windows7 inside the VBox virtual machine, we need below steps.
Configure outlook
Configure to use USB
Configure to Bridge Network

To install the VBox in Ubuntu and setup Windows7 inside the VBox virtual machine, we need below steps.
1. Install Ubuntu 14.04.
I have the USB key for Ubuntu 14.04.

2. Install VitualBox
VBox has official source for Ubuntu 14.04.  So after install the Ubuntu, we can:

2.1 verify the package information
    [input] linuxtechi@localhost:~$ apt-cache policy virtualbox
    [output]
        virtualbox:
        Installed: (none)
        Candidate: 4.3.18-dfsg-1
        Version table:
        4.3.18-dfsg-1 0
        500 http://in.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ utopic/multiverse amd64 Packages

2.2 Install the VBox
    [input] $ sudo add-apt-repository multiverse
    [input] $ sudo apt-get update
    [input] $ sudo apt-get install virtualbox
    [input] $ sudo apt-get install virtualbox-dkms

2.3 Start VBox
    (Dash Home -> Search -> virtualBox).
    Create your own virtual machine.

3. Install Windows7 in Guest machine.
    Insert Windows 7 setup disc in the DVD driver.
    Boot the virtual machine created in 2.3, and Windows 7 should be installed automatically.  If not, change the boot sequence in VBox virtual machine settings and reboot the virtual machine.

4. Install VBox Guest Additions to support share folder between Guest and Host.
    4.1 Download the package information at http://www.pc-freak.net/files/virtualbox-guest-additions-iso_4.1.2-1_all.deb.  Install it using Software Center in the host Ubuntu.
    4.2 Download the ISO at http://www.pc-freak.net/files/VBoxGuestAdditions.iso
        (I have downloaded these two files and will copy to the share folder later.  However, you can also download from the link directly as well.)
    4.3 Load the VBoxGuestAddtions.iso in the DVD driver of the virtual machine in VBox.
4.1 & 4.2, 4.3 可以换成如下步骤
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install virtualbox-guest-additions-iso
Then the iso is located under /usr/share/virtualbox/VBoxGuestAdditions.iso

    4.4 Install the Guest Additions in Guest Machine by picking up the corresponding setup file in the DVD driver.
        (I do a host reboot between 4.2 and 4.3, and a guest reboot between 4.3 and 4.4),

5. Set up the share folder between Guest and Host.
    5.1 In Host VBox, set the host folders to be shared with guest in Settings->Shared Folders
    5.2 Reboot the Guest Machine, access the share folder from the Network->VBOXSVR->Your shared folder in host.

6. Install the office by \\10.1.24.168\outlook\sw\winsw\Microsoft\Office2007_cn\
7. Install the printer in win 7
Click to add printer in "Control Panel", choose to install by TCP/IP address, which is 10.1.24.10, When it asks for the driver installation, use the one under this path \\10.1.24.168\driver\UFRII_Driver_V2145_Win-64\

8. issues & fix when upgrade to 16.04
8.1 access denied when launching virtualbox: change permission of win7.vbox;
8.2 failed to open a session for the virtual machine...: check details. If usb2.0 EHCI controller driver not found, install "VirtualBox 5.1.4 Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack" at https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads.

I am checking the networks settings in VBox.  It seems using the default NAT setting, we can only see the shared folder and guest  machine itself in the guest OS.  However, Internet access in guest OS works and can check mail via webmail in guest OS browser.

My current desktop has a 1T disk, and current allocation are as below for your reference.

Partition 1(107G):  Host Windows 7
Partition 2(237G):  Data disk, accessible by both host Windows and Linux.
Partition 3(291G):  Linux. With 100G used by Guest Windows 7. (~/VBox contains the virtual machine file.  I plan to move it to Partition 2 later).
Partition 4(356G):  Data disk, accessible by both host Windows and Linux.

Configure outlook
虚拟机里面装的win 7，没有加域。本来用的outlook通过pop3等收信，不方便。
刚才试了下面的步骤可以：
1. 关闭outlook
2. 在控制面板-> 邮件，添加帐户，一定要选exchange模式，服务器mail.asrmicro.com，输入用户名的时候可能会弹出对话框需要你输入域账户和密码。如果弹出证书的话，要选择加入信任的域。然后就好了

1. 为vbox安装扩展包

下载地址如下，要选择对应的vbox版本：
http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/4.3.36/
选择"Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-4.3.36.vbox-extpack".
然后在vbox中加入该扩展包。

2. 在linux host上将当前用户加入vbox组

查看当前用户名：
sharl@sharl-laptop:~$ whoami
sharl

查看vbox 所在的组：
sharl@sharl-laptop:~$ cat /etc/group | grep vbox vboxusers:x:125:sharl

将当前用户加入vbox组：
usermod -a -G vboxusers sharl

3. shutdown vbox, reboot linux host

4. 启动vbox之前，先enable USB 2.0 controller

5. 启动vbox

6. 此时桌面右下角usb图标中会显示所有探测到的usb设备，需要手动选择一个。

Configure to Bridge Network
1. 配置network模式需要关闭虚拟机或新建虚拟机时配置

2. 虚拟机管理器->设置->网络->选择一个网卡->启用网络链接->链接方式选择“桥接网卡”（其他项默认即可）

3. 重启启动虚拟机就会分配一个局域网IP地址:10.1.26.xxx，虚拟机在LAN中等同于一台真实的电脑
