2TB Seagate drive from DELL will not power up
Dell R710 with 4 MD1200 Cabinets attached to dumb SAS controllers. Two of the cabs are populated with 12 600GB disks each. These work just fine. The other 2 cabs are populated with 12 2TB drives each. Apparently there is limited support in the drive firmware for power management. I could not create a pool with any of these disks until I modified /kernel/drv/sd.conf, adding the following line:
sd-config-list="SEAGATE ST2000NM0001","power-condition:false";
Now the drives work fine.
