Start research

It is an interesting research question. Every people has self-thought. I think you should do as follow :

1. Asking for some advice from the teacher or senior fellow apprentice.
2. reading one or two Chinese summary paper. As you know, Chinese summary paper is written by experts, and Chinese is good at summary.
3. With some knowledge, you can read relevant English reviews. It is worth to read.
4. Reading some paper in reviews, because many classic papers will be referred to multiple times in several reviews.
5. Now, you have explicit knowledge so that you can choose a self-research. ( ps :A research only has 100-200 hundred papers and 10-20 paper is pioneering, it need to read carefully. If papers’ the number too big mean that you choose research direction is too big. )

Maintain self-research

1. Finding some great group, some top conference or journal in your direction, and read their work experience or paper.
2. Intensive and extensive reading the newest article in some top conferences, journals, and arxiv. Let self follow the latest research.(loop!!!)
