vmware server2在rehl5的安装问题

首先在官网上下载了 VMware-server-2.0.1-156745.i386.rpm。

 

安装之后运行 /usr/bin/vmware-config.pl,出现了

 

 

None of the pre-built vmmon modules for VMware Server is suitable for your
running kernel.  Do you want this program to try to build the vmmon module for
your system (you need to have a C compiler installed on your system)? [yes] 


What is the location of the directory of C header files that match your running
kernel? [/lib/modules/2.6.18-53.el5/build/include/] 

 

 回车以后运行，出现了错误

 

 

Unable to make a vmnet module that can be loaded in the running kernel:
insmod: error inserting '/tmp/vmware-config0/vmnet.o': -1 File exists
There is probably a slight difference in the kernel configuration between the
set of C header files you specified and your running kernel.  You may want to
rebuild a kernel based on that directory, or specify another directory.

 

 解决办法

 

 /etc/init.d/vmware stop
rmmod vmnet

 如果报错 ERROR: Module vmnet is in use，就

 

ps -ef |grep vmnet

 找到占用的进程，然后kill掉再 rmmod vmnet

模块的查看命令是 lsmod.
