Installing xmpppy in Windows

For XMPP protocol support in Python, you need the xmpppy package to be installed in your system's python. As xmpppy has no windows executable file for easy install you need to follow the following steps to install it properly:

1. Download the windows executable (*.exe) version of setuptools (for your right python version) from here: http://pypi.python.org/pypi/setuptools.
2. Install it.
3. Download appropriate Python version of xmpppy egg (eg xmpppy-0.5.0rc1-py2.5.egg)
4. Copy the egg file to /pythonDirectry/Scripts. (eg C:/Python25/Scripts)
5. Go to the Scripts directory using Command prompt.
6. type easy_install nameOfEgg.egg (eg easy_install xmpppy-0.5.0rc1-py2.5.egg)
7. You will be noticed with a massage that installation in successfully done if everything is ok.
