SGA Memory Leak Detected in trace file

Hello,

I have discovered a trace file (see below) alerting me to an SGA Memory Leak - no Oracle error code was listed in the message. I need some advice as to how serious this is and whether I should be contacting my local Oracle support for help. What is strange is this file is not referenced at all in the alert log for the instance. However, looking at the timestamp, it appears to have been generated when the database was being shutdown (this occurs nightly).

Can anyone shed some light on this for me please?

Please check for any ora-00600 space leak errors in the alert.log file.

Hi,

Then you can ignore such messeges.
This could be part of routine housekeeping operation.
Incase of any space leakage of higher memory size oracle will report ora-00600 in the alert.log.
