Ubuntu 系统默认 root 用户是不能登录的，密码也是空的。

给 root 用户设置密码：

sudo passwd root

解决 Ubuntu 18.04 SSH 无法远程登录问题

1、安装 openssh-server

sudo apt-get install openssh-server

2、编辑配置文件 /etc/ssh/sshd_config

sudo vi /etc/ssh/sshd_config

在这里插入图片描述
或者：

sudo nano /etc/ssh/sshd_config
PermitRootLogin prohibit-password to PermitRootLogin yes 
PasswordAuthentication no to PasswordAuthentication yes

3、重启服务

sudo service ssh restart

或者：

sudo systemctl restart ssh

然后登录：

ssh root@192.168.64.5 # Multipass 虚拟机
ssh root@192.168.47.128 # VMWare 虚拟机

然后输入密码。
