Memo
TO: All Lab Staff
FROM: John Smith, Lab Research Assistant DATE: December 31, 2023
SUBJECT: New Year’s Eve Party Planning During our recent weekly regular meeting, it was unanimously decided that we will hold a New Year’s Eve party to celebrate the incoming year. I am excited to announce that the event will take place on December 31st, from 7:00 PM to 12:00 AM in the lab’s common area.
To ensure the success of this event, I would like to assign the following responsibilities:
Food and Drinks: Sarah and Mark will be responsible for coordinating the catering and organizing a variety of appetizers, entrees, and desserts. They will also handle the arrangement of drinks, including non-alcoholic beverages.
Decorations: Emily and Brown will lead the decoration efforts, transforming the common area into a festive and vibrant space for the occasion. They will also be responsible for organizing any necessary rentals, such as a sound system and lighting.
Entertainment: We are looking for volunteers to take charge of organizing music, games, and any other entertainment options to keep everyone engaged and enjoying the party. If you have any suggestions or would like to take part in this aspect, please let me know.
Clean-up: To maintain a clean and organized environment, we will have a designated clean-up crew consisting of volunteers. If you are willing to assist with post-party cleanup, please let me know.
In addition, I kindly remind everyone to please keep your workstations and the lab area in general clean and clutter-free, as we will be using some of the space for the party. Any personal belongings should be stored securely or taken home prior to the event.
Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions, suggestions, or concerns regarding the party planning. Your input and cooperation are highly valued, and I look forward to celebrating the New Year with all of you.Wishing you all a joyful and prosperous New Year in advance!
Kind regards,
John Smith
