- Change only whole words exactly matching 'foo' to 'bar'; ask for confirmation.
:%s/\<foo\>/bar/gc
- Change each 'foo' (case insensitive) to 'bar'; ask for confirmation.

:set noignorecase
to make searches case sensitive (the default).
