I created Waiter-bot on 6-3-07 not only for the second NXTLOG Building Challenge, but the idea of a walking robot that will not run into any walls as been developing in my head for a while, I just saw this as a good oppurtunity to make such a robot. At first I did not realize Waiter-bot's full potential until I noticed that I had built him with a flat back, capable of putting a plate full of food on it, Waiter-bot also makes a smooth ride for either a plate full of food or a cup full of water. The ultrasonic sensor will keep it from accidentally bumping into any walls or furniture. Waiter-bot's Compass sensor will allow it to find its way around the house. ----------------------------------------------- Check for updates soon!
Now I think that we can all agree that the most important part of a robot is it's program, if you don't program it right it won't work. Thus I worked extra hard on this program making the smallest adustments, finally I came up with two great programs.
One-On this first program you need to move the legs as if you were walking alongside it and it didn't have any batterys.
Two-On this program Waiter bot will go forward until it "sees" something and it will walk away from it.

I flipped the position of the Compass sensor and the Ultrasonic sensor, plus I have taken off the Sound sensor as there was no use for that, I have added new stronger legs also.
