    Singers and [color=red]instrumentalists[/color] have to get every [color=red]note[/color] perfectly [color=red]in tunes[/color] . the pianists are spared this particular [color=red]anxiety[/color] , for the notes are already there , waiting for them . And it is the piano tuner's responsibily to tune the instruments for them . But they have their own difficulties : the [color=red]hammers [/color]that hit the [color=red]strings [/color]have to be [color=red]coaxed [/color]not to sound like the [color=red]percussion [/color], and each [color=red]overlapping [/color][color=red]tone [/color]has to sound clear .
    This problem of getting clear [color=red]texture [/color]is one that [color=red]confronts [/color]student [color=red]constructors [/color]. They have to learn to know every note of the music and how it should sound , and they have to aim at controlling these sounds with [color=red]fanatical [/color]but [color=red]selfless [/color][color=red]authority [/color].
    Technique is of no use unless it is [color=red]combined [/color]with the music knowledge and understanding . The [color=red]artists [/color]are those who are so [color=red]thoroughly [/color]at home in the language of music that they can enjoy performing works written in any century .
