IBUS2105: International Entrepreneurship

 IBUS2105: International Entrepreneurship – Semester 1, 2024

Assessment Task Instructions

Feasibility Report

This assessment requires the development of a Feasibility Report, which is being used to assess whether the

entrepreneurial activity undertaken is feasible, possible or will deliver the projected outcomes. The Feasibility Report will

use a Gen AI tool called “Cogniti” which is a University of Sydney front end to Chat GPT 4. The feasibility report can be

used to better understand if the product or service you decide to enter into a new international market, is feasible and

whether the proposed investment is likely to be successful.

As part of the assessment, you will be required to:

• Identify a product or service,

• Determine an international market to enter the product or service,

• Use Cogniti – which you have had access to – to develop this Feasibility Report,

o Attach the Cogniti-generated Feasibility Report as an appendix (at the end of the assessment),

• Develop a written submission, once the report is generated, where you will:

o Evaluate the instructions, commands and language used to develop the Feasibility Report using Cogniti,

o Reflect and critically analyse the generated Feasibility Report, does it meet expectations, is it

comprehensive, would a human-generated report be better or worse? Why?

o Use theory and research to build your arguments, and

o Support your assessment with data points where appropriate – strengthen the discussion and your

arguments.

Conditions of assessment

• The written submission must not exceed 1500 words, exceeding that limit can attract a word count penalty,

• This is a scholarly task and needs to be supported with appropriate academic and industry research. It should

include a minimum of 1 peer-reviewed journal article from the Australian Business School Deans Council (ABDC)

Journals, less than 10 years old,

• Use of Cogniti or any other form of Gen AI to develop the written submission is NOT ALLOWED, which will be

considered Academic Dishonesty and a review by the Academic Honesty Team will likely be the result. Ensure

that you review the Academic Integrity Policy (2022) and Academic Integrity Procedures (2022), and

• You may use only Grammarly (NOT any other tools) to directly suggest readability improvements to your text

in terms of grammar and expression. However, you must include the following acknowledgment:

o “I acknowledge the use of www.grammarly.comLinks to an external site. to refine the academic language

of my own work (including grammatical structures, punctuation and vocabulary). On I submitted

my entire assignment to Grammarly and acknowledge that if requested, I can provide my original version

to the Unit Coordinator. The output was then modified further to better represent my own tone and style

of writing. I understand that not providing the original version may result in an academic integrity

investigation and/or nil marks to be awarded.”

NB1: Each written submission will be graded against the rubric.

NB2: While it is important to consider historical data, data sources used should only include data not older than 10 years.

NB3: Developing a structured assessment, with strong arguments demonstrating critical thinking, analysing, and

evaluating the strategy will help elevate your submission.

Assessment Criteria

Please make sure you read the rubric which will be released shortly.
