APO (Advanced Planner and Optimizer)

Advanced Planner and Optimizer (APO) is a software solution that enables dynamic supply chain management. This solution provides applications for detailed planning, optimization, and scheduling, thus allowing the accurate and global monitoring and control of the supply chain even beyond enterprise boundaries. APO comprises the following modules: "Supply Chain Cockpit," "Demand Planning," "Supply Network Planning and Deployment," "Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling," and "Global Available-to-Promise", see also: Availability to promise. If SAP customers use APO in conjunction with the Business Information Warehouse, BW, they can optimize performance and costs throughout the entire supply chain.
